The Anniversary Poems

I wanted to create a poem to mark the anniversary of a special couple so I rummaged in the cupboard for the teatowel which listed anniversaries and the traditional gift that was associated with each one. That first poem was for a five year anniversary and the traditional gift was wood. The next year I wrote Sugar for them even though that was a modern gift rather than the traditional iron! After all I have to go with the muse, and the muse was giving me the sugar vibes!

When one of my nephews got married it gave me the perfect opportunity to start at the very beginning and write for them. I had lovely feedback on the Paper Anniversary poem I sent to them and likewise when I composed the Cotton poem the following year. In the meantime I had also been commissioned to write a 35th anniversary poem.

I saw a challenge presenting itself… who else could I write for? And could I possibly write the first forty poems as well as Sapphire, Gold, Emerald, and Diamond? The answer was yes and the poems are now available as digital downloads.

Once purchased the poems can be printed out and sent as a gift, made into an anniversary card or sent electronically. All I ask is they are not resold.
